Another question!

Hi all,

Couple more questions!

How far is the Canadian boarder from the Island Pond area and would we need a passport to drive over into Canada?

Thanks again!

Not sure of the exact amount a time it would take to get up to the border, but it is under an hour.

Regarding passports, you do not need them to cross the border...YET. In January of 08 they will be required.

That said, if you do have passports, bring them. It's not an issue of going to Canada, it's coming back to the US. If you don't have passports, make sure you have your drivers liscense, and if you have an official copy of your birth certificate, bring that as well.

They may not ask you for ID, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

It's around 15 miles to the canadian border on a regular road so maybe 25 minutes. You would cross over at Stanhope Quebec.

Passports are not required as mentioned above but will be come January. I always bring mine because it makes it much much easier.

Enjoy your trip,

Ash
