Mom/daughter ski trip

My 17 yr old and I will be spending 5 days in Park City in March. We are both decent skiers and will probably ski most days. Any ideas for other fun things to do off the slopes? Is there skating or tubing at night? any other night activities? fun restaurants with good food? anyone know if one can still listen in on rehearsals at the Mormon Tabernacle? Thanks for any suggestions you can give me!

I can only answer part of your question since I live in the Salt Lake Valley. Yes, you can listen to the Tabernacle Choir perform or practice. Here is a link to their March calendar:

I have been waiting for the PC folks to speak up but they are being quiet on this one. I have a 17-year old daughter and I asked her what she likes to do when she goes to PC. She said simply, walk up and down Main Street and check out the cool stores there. As far as restaurants, I have not had a bad meal at PC, it's up to you and what you like to eat.

Now, if you come down into the Salt Lake Valley to hear the Tabernacle Choir then your choices of entertainment change. The main attraction downtown SLC is Temple Square [http://www.visittemplesquare.com/] with all of their free activities.

Also The Gateway Mall [http://www.shopthegateway.com/] has all the fun things you can do in an outdoor mall including some yummy restaurants (Z'Tejas is one of my favorites) and desserts (Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory). There are also some good Ma and Pa's restaurants on Main Street. You can ride TRAX (light rail) for free down Main Street and see what's available.

There is a tubing hill halfway between PC and Salt Lake right off I-80 called Gorgoza Park [http://www.parkcitymountain.com/winter/activities/tubing_at_gorgoza] but honestly, after skiing, tubing seems soooo slow. But, hey, at least you have an option.

PicnPac - Thanks again for all your input - and thanks to your daughter too! Don't know if we'll even have the energy to make it in to SLC after a day of skiing, but I'd love to hear the choir and if we do, you've given us some great suggestions.
