Place to Travel to for Family Christmas Days

Hi all, we are looking for a place to travel to and spend Dec 22-Dec 26 at with our 3 children ages 12,11,7. We've had a recent turn of events that have made it important that we spend Christmas away from home but in a very welcoming and Christmasy place, if that makes any sense...We are obviously "late to the game" this year, but was wondering if anyone knew of a place similar to Mohonk Mountain that would be a great place to spend Christmas as a family. Mohonk Mountain is booked and not available. We are from TN, so would be interested in anything East Coast. Thanks in advance for your help/advice/tips.

You could try Woodloch in PA www.woodloch.com

If you can't find a resort, maybe a VBRO house close to skiing or other winter activities.

Have you considered NYC? There are lots of sights to see and activities for the kids like ice skating in Bryant Park or Rockefeller Center.

I'd also encourage you to consider NYC. There are all sorts of Christmas Displays. It's a major destination at Christmas time to get into the Christmas spirit. Hotel demand is lower right at Christmas though (especially since business travel grinds to a near halt) so prices can be relatively affordable compared to other times during Dec.
