Drove through Wallace last summer, and it looks really interesting. Can someone recommend tours or activities and a nice place to stay? Thanks.
Probably the "best" thing to do, out of Wallace, are shuttles to access the Hiawatha bicycle trail... As Wallace is a designated historic district Just wandering around and finding a good lunch is worth the effort... As there is more lodging available in Kellogg, I suggest lodging there... The Chairlift from town up to the Ski area summit is also worth considering...carracar
Here is a hike suggestion near Wallace.
Here also is a link to the Forest Service website which lists many activities in the area, you will want to look at the St Joe Ranger District and the Coeur dAlene Ranger District. There is a Forest Service office in Kellog. You can stop there and get maps and recommendations as well as up to date information on fires, wildlife closures and other hazards.
Wonderful link, Diane! Thank you.Edited: 11:00 am, July 26, 2013
