Family backpacking Southern-Central Colorado

Help! :-) Just got smoked out of Weminuche Wilderness plans for next week so we're searching for another backpacking location in Southern or Central Colorado. We're a family of 5, youngest is 6, so we're not looking to cover a ton of miles. We're looking for a 3-5 day hike, frequent water access, hopefully not super busy. A nice little town to land in for a few nights after the hike would be great too. Thanks so much!

The Holy Cross wilderness near Vail maybe look at Missouri Lakes, Fancy Pass, Holy Cross City trails you can make a loop there and end up not far from Minturn/Vail area.

Another option is up in the Flat Tops Wilderness. A hike up out of Yampa from Stillwater Resevoir of a couple miles then you are on top of the flat tops, lots on gentle slopes and lakes. Maybe look at the Devils Causeway.
