PCH Road Trip

I am in the initial stages of planning a coastal road trip from LA to San Francisco. We will have a week in May. Thinking of either driving from LA to SFO or SFO to LA. What is better, scenic drive? Other stops that we'd like to see are Santa Monica, Santa Barbara, Big Sur, Monterey, San Francisco & WIne Country.

Hi aoshi0514

belomiser is referring to Top Questions. They're on the right side of the page on the full TripAdvisor website, not the app.

If you are planning to visit the city of San Francisco (SF), you'll need more time than just driving to the airport (SFO.)

Also consider visiting the winery regions around Santa Barbara and/or Paso Robles. I don't think you'll have time for Napa/Sonoma.
