That is incredible! That guy Rankin has several videos of flash flooding that I have watched before. He must be like a stormchaser for flooding.

I know the Rankin family personally, David is quite the photographer. Those with tour plans for the Page AZ area (Colorado River Float, Antelope Canyon, etc.) may want to check with tour operators as this will most likely have a significant impact on a lot of popular activities.

I remember filling up with gas at that Maverick Station on our way from the Grand Canyon to Bryce. We have flash floods in our area, but I have never seen anything like that. I just wonder how long it takes to get the road to be passable again. There is a lot of mud and sand that must be moved.

anyone know if it is passable now? i was planning on driving thru there on tuesday night... and the grand canyon is a big hole to drive around LOL not really an alternate route... is alt 89A thru fredonia ok?

i'm checking ADOT sites... but local word is often more reliable :) thanks!
