GCSR,Zion,Sedona with little hiking(60 + :) is it feasible

We plan 3-4 nights in March. One way LV-Phoenix.

Wish to visit GC South rim,Zion and Sedona.

As we are 60+ and would like more driving and little hiking.

Are all those places also worth seeing by car +guided tours?

Or is hiking essential to have real fun ?

2-Maybe we should leave aout Zion because of time ?

(Must add:We are very fast in walking, exploring)

You can do it without hiking long times or distances. Actually you don't have long times anyway.

I would delete Zion to make it a better pace.

LV to GCNP is a 5 hour drive, so with an over night at the GCNP you can come close to a full 24 hours there.

GCNP to Sedona will take two hours and you'll need two nights at least to get around to all sides of town and a handful of the major sights and attractions. Sedona to PHX is two more hours.

All bets are off if you catch a blizzard on the Mogollon Rim. That will affect getting to GCNP and on down to Sedona afterward. No way to predict the weather of course until a few days before. The point is that with your limited time, you don't have much room for a weather related delay.

But in bad weather I could make LV to Sedona ?

We will be 2 days in Sedona than to Phoenix to fly to NY.

Any suggestion for a third day between LV -Sedona (if we

cancel GC) ?

I agree, no time for Zion. Keep the reservation for GCNP, you always can cancel when you are in the USA. I really would not add another overnight stay other than GC and Sedona.

You should be able to get to GCNP. If for some reason you can't, just add the time in Sedona. You won't get bored or run out of things to see and do.

To answer your hiking question, the Rim Trail in front of the lodges and down to the west end to Hermit's Rest is a level mostly paved trail along the edge of the GC itself. Truly a spectacular stroll you can safely take at your own speed. There are shuttles that run between the over looks for when you want to ride. You will not need a tour or a guide. Check out the visitor center and perhaps catch a ranger talk if you can to get your bearings and questions answered, but it is a very easy park to self tour and take it all in on your own, no matter what your age.
