Warmest place in Arizona (or southwest) in early Feb?

Planning a family vacation with a 5 and 3 yo and want to know what part of Arizona (or the southwest if not Arizona) that has the highest likelihood of being warm enough for my kids to swim (in an outdoor pool).

Thanks

I think Yuma probably gets the warmest temps, but it's not exactly a tourist mecca. Of the typical winter destination spots, PHX is probably a good bet. And since you're coming from Chicago, the kids are young, and most hotel/resort pools are heated, you should find what you're looking for there.

Palm Springs/Desert gets a lot of Chicago winter escapees too.

RedRox is correct that Yuma is warmest however there are really no nice places to stay there, and little to do. The next best bets would be Phoenix/Scottsdale and Tucson with Phoenix a few degrees warmer.

Ironically I was in the jacuzzi and pool yesterday in a hotel near the Phoenix airport. I went up to try out the new light rail in Phoenix metro area as well as some business errands today. The air was cool, but the water was warm. Being in the sun also helps.

February is peak tourist season and highest prices. You would want to avoid Tucson in early February as the Gem and Mineral Show basically uses all the better (and even not so good) hotel space in town, and it is actually multiple shows but generally over after the first weekend of Feb.

Both Phoenix and Tucson areas have lots to do including for children. What's your price range? Pick some hotels, and then call them and ask them about their pool. You want it heated to at least 85 degrees and in the sun.
