Place to stop on I-65 with toddler

We will be coming down I-65 from Nashville to the FL Gulf Coast with our 1.5yo toddler. We'd like to stop about halfway through and let him use up some energy crawling around on stuff and playing. Does anyone have any suggestions for a McD's playplace or something similar, or a playground close to the interstate somewhere between Birmingham and Montgomery that would be good for a little kid?

Thanks!

Gateway Park in Montgomery, AL is a great place for a little on to work off some energy. There is a paved walking trail and a children's playground just off I-65. It has aplenty of open space to let them run and play.
