Adult age at playa pesquero

I'm taking my 17 year old daughter and just wondering what wristband will she get, the child or adult? I don't want her drinking too much with new friends etc. anyone know? Thanks

I would think she might well get an adult wristband, but not too sure. They rarely check the colour of the wristband anyway so I'm sure the barman will serve her alcohol if she looks to be an adult.

We were at PP in 2008 when my daughter was 17. They gave her a child wrist band. When I asked for an adult band for her, they refused.

Thanks for that SharonAnn. Did they ever refuse to serve her alcohol?

it has been my experience that it is depending on where you fly from. They go by the rule of the country or province in Canada case that you depart from. when we fly from toronto or Ottawa it is 19 yrs. When we flew from montreal it was 18yrs. My past experience is that they refused ot serve alcohol to anyone not wearing the adult band.

It was a few years ago but I don't recall her being refused alcohol. However, I'm not sure she tried to get any on her own. I know she had drinks when she was with us. The funny thing is, when she was only 8 we went to Tryp Cayo Coco a few times. She'd go up to a bar and order "Blue Coco's" with no rum. It wasn't until the end of the week and several Blue Coco's later that we realized she had been drinking Blue Curacao all week! No wonder she slept so well.

Hi Sharon Ann,

come to think of it my son when we first started to go to pp was only 10 and he loved to have shirley temples and as you know in Canada the grendine has no alcohol and he stopped at every bar to get one on our way to the beach starting in the lobby. It wasn't until we went to ;purchase some grenadine in the shop to bring him as a souvenir at the end of the trip that we realized there is alcohol in their grandine. He too slept well at night. He is now 19 and remembers this story as a fond memory unpon his return to pp. I think he even ordered one last year!!!!!!LOL
