Honeymoon Hotel

Can anyone recommend a truely romantic, blow-the-budget hotel for a couple of nights in the Marlborough Region?! We shall be travelling in budget hotels for most of our travels around NZ but want to splash out to celebrate the Honeymoon in the Wine Region! Many thanks.

I think few hotels are romantic. Have you considered staying in a lodge or B&B? Many offer exceptional service, views and great privacy.

www.newzealand.com and www.wotif.com are great for all accommodation options.

This will help get you started...

happy planning :)

I tend to agree with WanakaLakes.

There are no "resort" -type hotels offering the sort of thing I think you are asking. I would recommend something like http://www.furneaux.co.nz/default.asp located about a 40minute water taxi ride up the sound from Picton. There are quite a few others. Here are a couple: http://www.pungacove.co.nz/

http://www.peloruslodge.com/

The last is billed as one of the most luxurious in the region, don't know, never stayed there, but I think a stay in any of those would probably blow you away.
