hello .. we are a couple travelling to Scandinavia for 3 weeks , we were planning a 4 day trip to tallinn in the first week of august .. what would be the best itinerary for 4 days - we definitely want to spend a full day in Tallinn maybe two .. not very fond of museums but love nature and quaint towns of Europe.. please suggest !!!!!!

Hey, how about open air Museum? http://www.evm.ee/keel/eng/

Go to Kadrioru Park and Pirita for walks around inTallinn and maybe TV Tower. Dont forget to walk around in Old Town. Outside Tallinn... take a small Boat trip to Naissaar or Aegna.

There are companies who do daytrips to different areas in Estonia or you can always take buses...

Oh not so far at all. About 10 min walk. Its not as expensive as in Norway for sure :) If you eat or drink in Old town Viru street or Raekoja... they are pricey Pubs around teh corner, get them almost half price. Be careful with taxi drivers... get the numbers and ask for the cost before you sit in.

That might be helpful :)

1) Tallinn is no where near as expensive as Norway.

2) if you are up for it, try the Segway rental on your first day. You will learn how to balance on the Segway in less than 2 minutes and then can get a great overview of the old town in less than one hour. Well worth it and fun too.

You might find some cool spots on the design map of tallinn. There's a free app for that - there are also some tours there - places where local designers, musicians etc like to got to. Cool coffee places, parks and that kind of stuff too.

I believe you can download it here.
