***currency HELP needed ***

I'm going to Kaunas on 24th may and went to speak to a travel agent about what money t take and they said the Euro! i didn't think it was in the euro yet and the whole point of going there is that its not euro

also how much money will i need for 4days? any ideas i'm begging to panic now x

Don,t panic, princess.

The currency in Lithuania is Litas. We have fixed LT/Eur exchange rate, 3.45 Lt for 1 Eur. Don't worry, there are lot of exchanges and ATMs everywhere, Visa and Mastercard, also accepted everywhere (except smallest shops and markets). If you don't want to change your pound to Euro at home, no problem, you'll exchange your pounds to litas easily in all exchanges.

Amount needed for 4 days it depends on you and your fantasy. In general everything is 2 times cheaper than in UK. Of course, this is for orientation only.

we have planned a day looking round on Monday, Tuesday a train trip to Villinus (sp) Tuesday night a nice meal out but not planned anywhere yet,

wednesday maybe a day trip (if any avaliable) and a girlie night in on the wednesday night

the we go home on thirsday so may not even need any money for that
