Hungarian Dentists

Hi,

I know this has been asked many times, but for something so important I don't want to go off old threads. I joined tripadvisor just to ask this. I will ignore posts from people who have only one post, or posts relating solely to this topic - I wasn't born yesterday.

Anyway, I live in London and I will need full arch dental implants on top and bottow, and sinus lift. I have had 2 consultations and this is expected to cost around £20k (extractions included, 3 visits).

You can probably get something similar in UK for the same price, but my quotes are for premium implants, not the cheap stuff these guys here are advertising on group discount websites.

Anyway. Has anyone had experience (pics would be nice) with a hungarian dentist, and would care to share. Now that I can afford it, I am being very caution in making sure I select someone who is not just good, but I want an excellent dentist. I don't know if I am allowed to mention the names, but heck have to, these are my teeth we're talking about. One is rather 'vital', one claims he is 'creative' and one is an implant centre that reminds me of 'specsavers'. The latter has been features in some reputable british newspapers and I keep hearing two of the oral surgeons mentioned. Anybody had experience with these? I would have chosen by now, but given they are not GDC registered, I have my reservations.

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Dr Csillag

Hi Tina

Would you recommend the above dentist; you seem to speak very highly of him.

I really would appreciate any info on him/his practice and perhaps his website.

Cheers

JR

I am having work done, as we speak, by Dr Csillag in Budapest. He's very approachable and you can contact him via Linda Briggs website. There is also a lovely lady here, who will chaperone you, too , from your hotel to the surgery. I'm here on my own so it was good to know I wouldn't be completely on my own. Hope it helps. I will have to come back in six months for the work to be completed. Also, I opted to have 'twilight' sedation (they call it deep sedation it's NOT a general anaesthetic) at an extra cost, 300euros, but for me was well worth it as I am a very nervous patient were Dentists are concerned. Good luck.
