Countdown begins

Well our countdown is well underway fly out next sunday so so excited never been to budapest before and really looking forward to it We have a list of places to visit thanks to all the great advice on TA thank you but just want to ask one more question. We are staying at the Hotel Central Basilica and after lots of sight seeing through the day we are looking at a few local places to eat and drink that are near the hotel, bistro style and cheap drinking places its always good to get peoples opinions love always trying the local food when away and we love a bargain that does not break the bank

thank you in advance Michelle Leeds

Hello michelleleeds;

Take a look at Borkonyha Wine Kitchen and Cafe Kor which are not far away, as is DiVino for some wine tasting and small plates is another good option .

For a bargain that does not break the bank. Directly behind the basilica on Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út is Lugas very inexpensive local bistro really not bad with great views of the church too. tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g274887-d7…

Enjoy your trip

It looks like they have a special menu with pre-prepared food or food that doesn't have to be cooked that people can order from if they are in a hurry. For lunch, maybe.
