Accommodation for family of 5

The two of us along with our 3 adult children will be spending about 3 nights here in early September. We are considering renting an apartment or vacation home so we can all stay together. Does anyone have any leads for reliable sources? If we want to stay close to all action (walking distance to restaurants, sights, etc.), what neighborhood should we select?

Hi Applied 1,Pest is the more popular side of the river.I normally stay in district 5.But its not a must.Public transport is very cheap and easy to use.

Here are some links with apartments to book. Most of them want to be paid in hard cash, normally €s.So you'll be held to the exchange rate to what they will cost.

Hello Applied,

This link may give you some inspiration, and they were totally reliable for us.

Even if none of the apartments suit your needs, the website is a good read and full of great information. And as Terence says, Pest and District V (or close-abouts) is good if you're a first-timer, being pretty well central for experiencing what you can manage in such a short stay.

Hello applied1

You should definitely take a look at the Vacation Rentals link at the top left.or at http://vrbo.com or at http://homelidays.com as a start you may also want to look at http://airbnb.com and http://wimdu.com all solid sights.

Additionally as to location I would suggest you take a quick look as well at the Top Question on the neighborhoods, at the top right of the forum home page.

Basically anywhere on the Pest side between the inner Kor Ut referred to as the (Ring Road) and the river will be fine as to your needs and wants. This area will put you easily within walking distance to many great restaurants and most sights.

Enjoy your trip

Hi Applied1,

I second the Adina Apartment thought. Nice neighborhood, but a tad out of "central city" but just by a bit. However, also take a look at Starlight Suites. This apartment based hotel is in dead city center, next to the Four Seasons. Excellent base camp for most everything across the city.

hi, we are currently staying in a 2 bedroom apartment at the corinthia hotel and I think it is excellent. The spa is perfect, room service, food, staff, very clean, well located with numerous excellent restaurants and coffee shops nearby... and the apartment has a good kitchen as well, with all the needed equipment. This is something to consider...
