Slovenia border countries

Hi - I will be traveling to Slovenia the first 2 weeks of October 2012 and will have a car. I am looking for recommendations for cities/towns to visit in Switzerland, Austria or Italy that are drivable from Slovenia, please?

Many thanks!

The whole of Europe is drivable from Slovenia. What do you have in mind? Day trips, weekend trips, longer trips?

As a day trips(not more as 250km) are doable:

Italy : Venice, Padua

Austria: Carinthia, Salzburg

Switzerland : ?

Udine - Italy

Rijeka - Croatia (+ coastal towns and small villages...)

Graz - Austria; nearer: Klagenfurt....villages around...

== If you are considering Switzerland, then obviously you are looking at longer drives & not strictly the areas just over the border....

If that is the case - you could do: Trieste/Venice/Bologna/Ravenna

Munich/Salzburg

Linz/Cesky Krumlov cz

Maribor-Graz

Even further: Vienna/Budapest...

Still, you only have 2 weeks and I assume this is not to be a "Touring Vacation" - also, make sure you have the right vignette, insurance etc.

Otherwise - not really "Borders" - (Schengen zone..)

The website has some tidbits about Switzerland & Lichtenstein....
