My friend and I returned from a three night stay in Krakow today. When we arrived Friday morning there were flurries of snow and it didn't stop until yesterday, everywhere looked so picturesque, and with the Christmas lights still up it made it all the more special.
I will try and keep this short but I could waffle on and on really !
The Christmas Crib display in the History Museum, they all looked stunning, made by talented, creative and patient adults and children.
The classical concert on Sat evening in St Adalberts Church, four musicians, truly amazing.
Having a balcony at Hotel Kazimierz, gorgeous snowy street views,
Lashings of hot mulled wine, hot cherry and raspberry wine too.
A lovely snowy walk to Schindler Museum
Great food everywhere we ate, Café Camelot, Cyklops, Nova restaurant, and a brilliant quirky café called Chajim Kohan ( I think ) in Kazimierz.
Everything was a highlight really !
I was a bit surprised by the Sun Market at Plac Nowy, I was expecting antique type bric a brac stuff but everything was clothing. I spotted a bag with a Primark label on it, lol.
One evening in a restaurant a homeless man came in off the street and walked up to our table asking for money, he was escorted out quickly by the chef and waitress, but I suppose he must have been desperate to enter the place.
All in all a great wintery break and cant wait to return :)
Thanks for reading.
