Airport to Qubus Hotel

Trying to keep costs down by getting train into town from the airport and then maybe a taxi to Qubus Hotel. Do we need to buy tx at the station, do we need to have correct change for tx machine.

Can anyone advise the stop we need to get off at, or do we take the train to the station and then get a taxi to the hotel.

We are happy to walk a short distance but have no idea where the hotel exactly is. We will be arriving mid-morning.

Thanks.

You can buy your tickets on the train, dont use large notes, if you only have large notes try changing them at the airport, the train goes direct to Krakow, there are no stops so you cant go wrong, your hotel is not really walkable from the train station, i would get a cab, it should not cost much and will take about 10 mins, make sure the cab has a number on the top and agree a price , i have stayed at the Qubus, its a lovely hotel and if your lucky you will get a room with views over the river and Krakow.

Taking a taxi from the train station to the centre makes no sense.

You'l pay for the train tickets, and probably 25-30zl for a taxi.

So if you consider getting a cab - better do it from the airport.

If you want to use public transport - take tram no. 7 or 24 and leave on the stop called "Plac Boh. Getta" it's a first stop after passing the river, you'll see your hotel on the right side.

You can get tickets on some of the trams or at the tram stop.

Just go normal-> 15min, it costs 1,80zl and will be enough to get to your hotel. remember to stamp your ticket after entering the tram.

Also having the period tocket you can try to reduce walking, get tram no 19 at the station, then at the stop called "Poczta Glowna" switch to 7 or 24

Thanks...kopitie. have you any idea of the cost of the train tx from airport to station, or the cost of a cab fare from station to hotel.

Thanks again.

I believe it is now 9zlt on the train, a taxi will cost between 70 and 80 zlt, the reason i usually take the train is, its cheaper, and its far quicker to get into Krakow, 15 mins, the traffic into Krakow can sometimes be a nightmare.

Hi Krakow is one of the view cities that I would consider using a taxi for airport tansfer to the hotel. Compared to other cities it is really quite reasonable. Normally about 70 zolty about £15-£16.

We are staying in the Qubus at the end of Feb and have pre-booked using http://www.krakow.taxi.krk.abc.pl/ (Marcin) email address marcinkozak@poczta.fm We have agreed a rate of 60zolty, 120 zolty for a return. 1/2 paid on drop off at the hotel the rest when left back to the airport (about £26-27 return.

Thanks to all for help regarding transport from airport to hotel. Going at beginning of June so lots of time to consider our options! We will be arriving around 11.30am, not sure if the traffic into town will be heavy at that time.
