Sopot/Gdansk traditional polish things to do?

I'm going to the tri city area for a few nights at the end of this month.

I have been tasked with taking my small group of friends on a traditional Sopot/Gdansk/Polish evening. This could be sights, traditional meal, dancing whatever will give my guests the REAL Poland experience.

Any suggestions/recommendations gratefully received.

Many thanks for your help

They only place I can think of in the Tri-City area is http://www.koliba.pl/ It’s a large wooden mountain hut with traditional polish food and on some evenings entertainment too. It has large wooden communal benches and a wood burning fire in one corner. It’s quite dimly lit and does convey the impression of a mountain hut quite well. Its got animal heads on the walls. www.koliba.pl/galeria/index.php…

It’s about a 15/20 minute stroll northwards from the foot of Ul Monte Casino in Sopot. Or you could take the SKM train to Sopot Kamienny Potok station, turn right out of the station, walk past the Hotel Villa Aqua and follow the path to the beach. Its immediately at the end of the path on the beach. This place is popular with Polish people on holiday and it was enlarged a couple of years ago. It now has a outdoor barbeque and seating area

I think you would need to contact them to make sure that there will be entertainment on the evening you are thinking of. Luckily there is an English version of the website.

A walk on the wooden pier in Sopot is a must.

In Gdansk, I quite like the lively atmosphere at the microbrewery-and-restaurant of Hotel Gdansk.

If you like folk atmosphere you can go also outside Gdansk and to spend one day in Kashubian region with local dishes and Kashubian music.

Kind regards
