U Knihovny - downstairs restaurant

www.uknihovny.cz - really inexpensive Cz food; well prepared..

Cafe Lounge - near the "Wall" - Ujezd area- w/ends live music - see the web.

www.cafe-lounge.cz

Same area: Cafe

Vegetarian - great for set lunches: Lehka Hlava

www.lehkahlava.cz

For good coffee, beer, to hang around: website in Cz only; try their Devils toasts with Salsa - 35 Cz crowns - absolute bargain & prepared while you wait - very fresh.

All tried in March & June - my last trips to PRG.

My husband loves Jedova Chyse; very Czech, but I find it a bit greasy; check the menu.

Our own Brewsta writes this blog and it's the best regarding Prague restaurants.

My favorites can be found if you click on my name and read my Prague restaurant reviews. La Degestution is a favorite, but my absolute favorite is La Bodeguita Del Medio. I've got reservations there for Christmas Eve. Chrismas Eve, two years ago, my wife and I dined on dozens of impeccably fresh, French oysters there and it was a great time.

Christmas day, we went back for dinner and enjoyed the best bouillabaisse I have ever eaten - outside my own.

For good Czech food and beer, try Lokal on Dlouha.

Cafe Savoy is one of the best cafes, a bit upscale yet casual.

We visit Cafe Savoy regularly. Another place I like for Czech food and atmosphere is U Medvídků. The most authentic Czech food and atmosphere is found in small places. Wife and I like U ceskeho lva, which I have reviewed.
