Private UK navy to patrol East Africa coastline

Further to some positive articles about Kenya and Kenya coast we have more good news for Kenya. UK private navy will be patrolling East African waters - see this article for more details

So if you had any doubt about pirates, etc, please cast them away - you should be safe here! The last paragraph of this article is particularly encouraging for tourism sector:

"With such a large international presence in the area, the pirate threat is certainly decreasing and according to the International Maritime Bureau, pirate attacks had by October 2012 dropped to a six-year low, with only 1 ship attacked in the third quarter compared to 36 during the same period. Encouraging and positive news indeed for tourism stability in the region and a commendable initiative by Typhon."

Come to Kenya and enjoy our beautiful country!

Hopefully good news. Maybe my son can come home after being part of the task force in that area for the past 3 months.
