Ola Maoris Hotel and surrounding area.

We are staying at this hotel for 10 nights starting 20th September. I have read the reviews for the hotel. I am aware it is slightly isolated. Wondered what it was like to travel to and from at night if we felt like outside entertainment. Would we require to take taxis all the time or is the bus service regular.

you would need to take a taxi to get to Arenal, the hotel runs a free bus there and back, cannot remember what time the last one comes back though,if you come out of the hotel entrance and walk straight you will come to a steep road that leads to the sea(not suitable for kids)there is not a beach but lots of rocks and a hard standing, also a ladder to get in and out of the sea, good for snorkelling as there are lots of fish about.

have fun.

The regular bus leaves from outside the Hotel and the last one is at about 9.30 pm so you can take it into Arenal the cost is 1€. A taxi back will cost between 10 and 12€.
