Stayed there quite a few years ago and it was very good. The only drawback is that the resort is quite hilly in places, depending on how fit you are.

Weather in September - IMO that's the ideal time to go; hot / warm but not as severe as the heat in Aug, sea almost at its warmest of the year. That's when we go to Mallorca. Better to go in first half of Sept as the closer one gets to Oct the more chance of cloud or warm rain or spectacular thunderstorms.

CSV is quite small and pleasant, and yes a bit hilly with its coves. Worth visiting the inland town of Pollenca nearby and the nearby resort of Puerto Pollensa. We prefer PP to CSV as it has better beaches and more options for eating etc.

Hi

We're going to Don Pedro this September, our third visit. We always go in September for two weeks and the weather has been pretty good. We're about the same age as yourselves and like to walk. We don't take part in the entertainment, preferring to play cards and chat outside in the evening. The food is very good we always put on a few pounds when we're there. The buses are cheap and on time so you can explore this part of Majorca which is very scenic, mountainous and rugged we love it.

Hope this helps

In that 13 years you will have changed more than CSV. As AI hotels go Don Pedro is one that gives reasonable quality instead of cheapest they can find. One of the better 3* AI hotels in Majorca. (Some chavs according to the hotel reviews on TA).
