1. Re: supermarket

Formosa Park is four miles or so from Almancil but, assuming you have a car, there are two excellent supermarkets in Almancil itself.

These is a new large Pingo Doce and there is an Apolonia supermarket also. Both are to the western side of town on the road that leads towards Quarteira.

I don't know of anything decent any closer

Like Cubsor said, there aren´t supermarket near Formosa Hotel ( this hotel is very nice, on the beach but nearest of nothing, good for very relax holidays), not possible go walking but the nearest supermarkets are in QUINTA DO LAGO shopping or VALE DO LOBO entrance but car is necessary. I think Formosa hotel has free cortesy bus to Quinta do Lago shopping, but I´m not sure.

If you use taxi service better go to Quinta Shopping but if you decide hire a car better go to Almancil to Pingo Doce or Apolonia supermarket like cubsor said. This 2 supermarket are bigger and have more choice.

Good holidays!
