Air conditioning for Sippy Downs?

Son is attending USC July - December in Sippy Downs Australia. Will he need air conditioning? Thanks!

I would consider aircon from about late October. I'm sure there is information on the internet about Maroochydore or Nambour weather ....temperature and humidity.

I wouldn't think so as it won't get too hot and humid until late Nov and Dec.

I lived in Sippy Downs for 13 years. Never needed an air conditioner. As mentioned above, the humid months are generally December, January and sometimes February. Is he staying in the university accommodation such as Uni Central? If so, they have a pool there to use so I'm sure he'll be fine.

there are some a/c in the uni villages but an email to the management will fix that if its a dire necessity.

Uni year ends 24th Nov so maybe not here for the most humid month.

We do not use a/c but have fans
