Booking Tours

When I used to live in Mackay we booked tours and staying at the Whitsundays a day or few days before so that we could get cheaper and "local" rates is this still possible?

1. Re: Booking Tours

My impression is that nowadays that's mainly replaced by online discounts if you book directly with the operator. Most tour booking agents receive a commission of 10% (or more), so often the operator is willing to give you an equivalent discount for buying directly from them online. But every operator has slightly different business plans and different options available.
