Supermarket Past Marina Shores on Boardwalk, where is it?

Where is the Supermarket past Marina Shores on the Boardwalk towards Cannonvale? Someone posted this before but not the exact location and google earth maps seems a little dated. It's not Coles at the shopping centre but supposedly somewhere before centro if any one knows would be great.

Also, in Feb I heard 20% of the stores on Airlie Main Street Closed and last week IGA supermarket at Jubilee Pocket and 5 star Supermarket at Cannonvale closed as well as the a Gas Station/Shop on Main street. . I'm going in two weeks to Airlie and was wondering if Main Street looks like a ghost town or is it not so bad? Looking forward to going, but geez, what is going on down there? KFC gone on main street as well and now Port of Airlie Bankrupt. I feel for everyone there and personally want to bring some business back to Airlie as it is such a beautiful part of the world.

Not sure what you mean, but there is no supermarket on the boardwalk. The 5 Star supermarket (now closed) and Coles are the closest to Marina Shores, the boardwalk and in Cannonvale. There is also a little supermarket in the middle of the main street of Airlie Beach.

Honestly, it's not so bad. Yes some of the shops are empty, but others are going strong. The Port of Airlie has had 4 new shops open in the past few months, despite the developers going into receivership and they will continue to operate as normal. The Coffee Club down there has a great view and is a nice place to sit and wile away a few hours, there are also a couple of new clothing stores including a Billabong store down there. Check it out.

KFC closed, and Hungry Jacks opened in Cannonvale. Then a second McDonalds opened near Centro. BCF also just opened at Centro, as did Bunnings near the old 5 Star supermarket. In KFC's place we got a Cotton On and a Supre store opened a couple of doors down, and all the stores along that strip are open and busy. There are also new restaurants and bars on the Esplanade called Romano's and Salt. The Esplanade is also all open and busy. Fish D'Vine opens again next week, after a fire a few months ago.

It has been a tough year for Queensland, there's no denying that, but we are all ready to welcome you and hope you have a wonderful time in our happy little town. Keep an eye out for businesses sporting the "Smile Whitsundays" logo, it's an initiative started in town after recent events to promote an excellent customer service culture, because we know how important visitors are to our region and we want to make sure we are constantly delivering a high level of service so that you have a wonderful time.

Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for taking the time to respond, very much appreciated!!! Well, it all sounds like good news to me and am really looking forward to being there next week. Feel sorry for the beating Queensland has taken, but I'm sure things will be better and brighter again. How can it not be, it's such a lovely and diverse state. Thanks again :)
