Whitsunday Sailing Adventures - Best in the Biz!!!

The Director (Keith) and the Crew (Hannah and Carly) were absolutely amazing - the boat, the people, the food, the fun - you guys do it right!!

My wife and I are on our honeymoon and sailing the Whitsundays was a must!! Whitsunday Sailing Adventures came highly recommended and we now know why! The staff are highly professional and we quickly discovered that their customer service is second-to-none. They are genuinely concerned for the natural environment and make education a fun part of the trip.

The boat (Whitsunday Blue) was fabulously comfortable and the food was outstanding. This is NOT a party boat so if you are looking for quiet relaxation and the best service and vessel in the biz - you want to go on Blue. The value is unsurpassed!

Thanks again to Keith and his team - a definite highlight of our Aussie trip - you guys rock!! Our only complaint was that we could not stay with you longer! :-)

Whitsundays Sailing Adventures are the best ;)

But seriously our trip to the Whitsundays with the "Whitsunday Adventurer", one of the catamarans from the "Whitsundays Sailing Adventures", was one of our best tours around the east coast of Australia this far.

We meet the owner of the ships by chance during our flight to Airlie Beach. He sat right in the middle of us two and it was great fun talking to him. He even managed a diving trip for the two of us during our tour. So we really looked forward to our trip at that time.

The boat "Whitsunday Adventurer" was ideal for the trip to the Whitsundays. Driving by motor against the wind, or just sail through the island with beautiful views all around us was lovely. The crew (Tobi and Kathi) were absolutly nice and allways asks us whether we enjoyed our trip or whether we prefer something else instead. We were just 9 Passangers (normaly up to 12) on the board which created a really familiar athmosphere during our trip.

We saw Whitehaven beach and the Lookout. Went to some lonely snorkel or diving spots in the north of Hook Island. There we went for our first Diving lession, which happens to be a really exciting one for us;) But snorkeling and even seeing some clowenfish was maybe the more relaxed why of exploring the reef. Afterwards you could just spring into the Spa of the ship to warm you up.

We also enjoyed the nights on the ship, with some talkings about the fish live or the area of the Whitsundays we just traveled through. And after some really nice dinners we all went tired to bed to be fit for the followring things;)

So we really recommand this trip with the "Whitsundays Sailing Adventures", if you would like to do a special trip to the whitsundays.

I totally agree with this review. We came back in yesterday having had two days on Wings II. Pete and the crew were fantastic, they have hooked me on diving thanks Tristen for your patience. I'm heading toward home tomorrow and aim to get my open water ticket ASAP. Thanks also to Shano and Tony.

This may seem a silly question but... We are interested in doing a cruise but we will be travelling Australia beforehand (7 weeks as part of husband's business trip) what would we do with our luggage (probably two Samsonite suitcases)? is there a place to store it on the mainland?

Hi there,

Great to see some awesome feedback for some fabulous sailing companies. :) It really is an experience you'll remember forever, for all the right reasons!

There is a locker storage facility in the middle of Airlie Beach, on the corner of the Esplanade, next door to Shipwrecked Seafood Restaurant. It's best to bring a small soft bag on board the boats with you as these are easiest to stow in the cabins.

We also thought Whitsunday Sailing Adventures (in our case on "Silent Night" with Benny and Sammy) offered a solid package. Sure, there were not too many creature comforts but sailing tends to be like that (e.g. 12 of us + 2 crew for one bathroom) and the boat was generally clean and well-kept. In terms of wildlife, we were able to swim with 6-7 manta rays and saw a sea turtle, a groper, whales (from afar), ... Sunset and sunrise were awesome. The fast sailing was also very enjoyable (although not being able to move around for long periods may be frustrating for some). The food was honest and tasty if not gourmet stuff. I read a review somewhere (not sure whether it was for Whitsunday Sailing Adventures) complaining that the crew was rude - sure, Australians are quite direct but if you have an ounce of self confidence and get irony you will be fine !
