tours

We (a couple) are heading to Darwin for 5 days in August. We initially thought of renting a 4WD campervan to visit Kakadu and Litchfield NP but as the minimum rental period is 5 days, we thought of doing a tour. I've researched a bit on the internet and mostly for pricing reasons, i am now down to 3 options for 3 days Litchfield/Kakadu: Adventure Tours, Wilderness Adventures and Travel Wild. Does anyone has feedback on these tours? Any advice welcome :)

I've heard of Travel Wild but haven't seen them out in the park so far- perhaps they're affiliated with another company, such as Adventure Tours. Wilderness Adventures are also owned by Adventure Tours and cater towards the backpacker market. The prices are good but bear in mind the style of camping.

Thank you :) the problem, i find, is that tours are either for backpackers either too upmarket. i cant find anything more 'in between'...

Try Intrepid Connections Safaris- they cater for a broad range of ages and have permanent camps :

Adventure Tours themselves carry a lot of backpackers but they do carry other passengers too - it's only Wilderness Adventures that are solely backpacker orientated.

Thanks! that would explain why Wilderness Adventures is about $100 cheaper than Adventure Tours, who by the way seems to own half of the tours...

Anyway, thanks a lot for your help. Much appreciated.
