water temp in september?

Can someone give me an idea of how cold the water will be in the bellarine peninsula as well as other great ocean road areas? And KI? thanks!

No matter what beach you choose in Victoria, the answer will be the same - cold!

We are just coming out of winter in September and you will need a wetsuit if you want to brave the water.

in geelong area and down the gor probably around 13 degrees.

the KI web site says 17 for september. a bit hard to believe but there u go.

i would be wearing a 5mm wettie in any case.

Thanks. i saw they do swimming with the dolphins/seals starting in october so i thought it might not be that bad. So we should be ok with wetsuits most likely though i guess
