Food Fantasy at Jupiters - discount voucher

We will be staying in Broadbeach for a few days in March and would like to go to Food Fantasy at Jupiters (so we like buffets - so sue me :) ). It's a little $$exxy though so was looking for any discount vouchers and the only one I can find is on a website called Infomaps. Apologies if this is a dumb question, but Is this company/site genuine i.e. the vouchers are accepted at the venues (would hate to make a dill of myself turning up with a voucher that's then refused!)? If so, can I just download the voucher and print it from the website, or do I need to try to get hold of one of their "Gold Coast Tourist Magazines" when we get over there?

Thanks!

Hi,

I personally haven't heard of Infomaps, but it doesn't necessarily mean they aren't legit.

But generally, any sort of discount vouchers and coupons come with really tough conditions attached, which can result in difficulties redeeming them.

I would suggest you give Jupiters a quick call, to verify whether they accept it, and any further conditions need to be met. At the very least, you'll be advised and you'll avoid any potential embarrassment.

Yeh Infomaps is totally legit. I have used them in the past but only with the magazine vouchers. That voucher looks good. Not sure how they take 20% off the total bill because you pay for the food up front and the drinks seperately at the end.

Hi,

Good dining choice! Regardless if you get a voucher or not, I think it is well worth the visit. It does get quite busy depending what day/time you are there. The only place that I have seen any discount vouchers for "Food Fantasy" is in the restaurant discount/voucher book that you have to buy. If you have come across a voucher from somewhere else, I would print it out & bring it along with you. They can only say no if it is not applicable. I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one's. Just check the fine print.

Thanks for the replies :).

Good to know they are a legit company, but as KVE1005 has suggested, I might give Jupiters a call to see whether they still accept these vouchers (one of the T & Cs is "subject to change or cancellation" which is pretty standard for these types of things anyway). Also nice to know that it's a good dining choice, Karen T! You're right, we'll be going there anyway, but it would be nice to get 20% off! The T & Cs aren't too bad, voucher is valid from Sun-Thurs only (which is fine, as we're planning on going on a Sunday), not valid on public holidays or special event days etc, and it's valid until 30 March, so fingers crossed we can use it!

Just an update - I'm pleased to advise that the voucher was accepted at Food Fantasy with no problems at all. The voucher does say 20% off the total bill - we received 20% off the cost of the buffet, but didn't order any additional drinks, so don't know if the discount does actually apply to those as well.

Thanks for the update. It would be really good value if it had 20% off drinks as well. Glad you had a good night.

I printed the voucher out from the website before we left home, which was just as well as I didn't actually see a physical copy of the magazine anywhere during our visit.

Thanks arisanosila and Beach8um - yes, we had a really good evening, we were very impressed by the buffet. As the casino is definitely showing its age, we thought the buffet might be the same but far from it - heaps of different dishes on offer and all very well presented, the food service areas were immaculate, the staff were efficient and friendly, the dining area is attractively laid out and very pleasant - a great experience overall.

Luckily we enjoy walking, as it's a bit of a hike over to Jupiters at the moment with the light rail roadworks cutting off some areas of pedestrian access on that side of the highway. The monorail isn't running either (and apparently hasn't been for about 4 months) which must be disappointing for a lot of people who planned to use it to travel over to Jupiters!
