Gold Coast - where to stay with (lots of) toddlers

We are heading up to the Gold Coast around May, probably with some friends. Looking for recommendations of where to stay with a 2 and 4 year old - an apartment is probably preferable to a hotel.

Hoping also for ideas of any large 3 or ideally 4 bed places so we could share with our friends who also have simlar aged kids.

What's your budget range?

Turtle Beach Resort has 1-4 bedroom apartments. Another option is interconnecting rooms at Paradise Resort. Both are child-friendly, but, read the reviews first to ascertain whether it would actually be what you're after, as you might be after a different experience.

You will have no problems finding three or four bedroom apartments - really depends on budget. Just to give you an idea ...

These places have 1-3 bedroom apartments: Peppers Broadbeach, Sea Temple, Meriton Apartments Broadbeach, Reflection on the Sea, Mint Broadbeach, Ambience on Burleigh, Moorings on Cavill, Mantra Broadbeach on the Park, Mantra Circle on Cavill, Oscar on Main, and many others

These places have 1-4 bedroom apartments: Oceana on Broadbeach, Air on Broadbeach, Reflection Tower Two, and others

If you plan to split up, so, stay in two 2-bedroom apartments, you will find plenty of options, including some that only offer 1-2 bedroom apartments like One the Esplanade.

If you want holiday houses (amongst other options like apartments), look at http://www.fnbroadbeach.com.au/holiday.php / www.gchr.com.au / www.stayz.com.au / www.takeabreak.com.au/

Forgot to mention to be careful if you are looking at private rentals through websites like Stayz and Take a Break, where you deal directly with owners. There was a recent thread on the Sydney forums about how one person booked and paid for a place only to find out that it wasn't the actual owner they were dealing with, hence, losing the money they paid to this scammer.

This is not to say that there aren't plenty of honest and genuine owners out there because I know the majority are, but, just wanted to put it out there as a FYI.

For other apartments (of which there are many which are not listed above), take a look at www.wotif.com/ and select "3+ bedroom" under "Room Type" in the "Advanced Search" section, so you can see a good list of places, and then, you can check out the apartment's website - Also, look under the reviews section here on TA, as some properties aren't listed on Wotif.
