Cost of meals at skifields

My son is going on a school trip to NZ, visiting Coronet Peak, the Remarkables and Cardrona. Breakfast and dinner is included but he needs to take money for lunches at the skifields. Does anyone have any idea how much this costs (he won't be wining and dining in a luxury restaurant!) Can't find a thing on the web so your help would be appreciated - thanks!

Hi,

Is your son one of those youngsters will hollow legs? We budget about $50.00 to $60.00 NZ a day for the two of us for lunch and coffee at Coronet Peak and the Remarkables.

Cheers,

From memory a pie was $5.50 and a small coke was $3.75

From memory, both of the above are correct. A proper meal costs about $15-$20, but you can also get pies and other things. He could pack a box of muesli bars to supplement lunches if you wanted to cut costs.

Thanks everyone - he's 15, tall and his legs are very hollow...looks like it'll be pricey given he'll be exercising all day!
