Your plan sounds great. Just note that you drive past Blue and Green lakes to get to Lake Tarawera so might as well do them at the same time. There is a lovely bush walk around Blue Lake if you have time. Also you will pass the Buried Village on the way to Tarawera. This is a maori village which was buried by the ash of the 1886 eruption of Tarawera. Well worth a visit if you are interested. You will also pass the Redwood forest on your way to the lakes and there are also nice walks there. Have a great time.

You are planning to go to the Agrodome and when you do the farm tour you will become aware there are a lot of activities at Agroventures such as Scweebing, Bungy etc. The Zorb is a short distance from the Agrodome. There is a good cafe restaurant at the Agrodome.

Try to do the Mitai Combo tour and you will include a tour of Rainbow Springs Nature Park at night so you may not need to include this the following day. Mitai will provide transfers to and from your Rotorua accommodation as part of the package but you will need to be ready by about 5.50p.m.not 6.30p.m.

The Polynesian Spa is open until 11p.m.

The Rotorua Museum provides a good insight into how Rotorua developed culturally; as a spa town and also has an audio visual show telling of the Tarawera eruption. There is a cafe here so it may be the best place to go when you arrive.

On your way to the Agrodome you will pass Kuirau Park where you can see mud pools, steaming lake and lovely gardens for free.

www.rotoruaNZ.com is worth viewing.

Have fun!!
