Will you have a car miki? It's very easy to reach if you have. The falls are on the Kaituna River which leaves Lake Rotoiti at Okere falls and travels east to the Bay of Plenty coast. It's about a 20-30 minute drive from the centre of Rotorua (on SH33) and then there's a 20 minute walking track through the bush and down the river edge to the falls. If you look carefully under the bank overhangs on the track you can spot glowworms (if it's not too sunny a day).

The falls are the highest commercially rafted in the world- 7 meters from memory and if you time it right you can watch the rafts come over- scary stuff!
