Tour Companies for Day tour at Poor Knights Island

Hi,

I have tried to book with Perfect Day tours to go snorkelling at Poork Knights Island but unfortunatly they are booked for a charter on the day we were hoping to go. Can anybody recommend another tour company that takes people out for a day snorkelling?

Thanks

The Charter boats for the Knights all go from Tutukaka.

Many of them specialise in either fishing or certified divers.

I have done all my diving out there from the "Pacific Hideaway" (www.divenz.co.nz) with clubs from Auckland. it is a great boat to go out on with good facilities and crew have years of experience. I believe they also take snorkellers.

www.pkdive.co.nz also do charters out to the Knights and offer a snorkelling/kayak tour. This might be more suitable for you if you dont have a dive certificate.

Most importantly - It is a long way out so make sure you get a fast catamaran or it can be a long uncomfortable trip.

If no luck consider a trip out in the Bay of Islands

Hi there

Generally Dive ! Tutukaka (who run the 'Perfect Day' cruise) are the only company who officially offer a leisure cruise that is specifically intended for non-divers.

However, some of the other companies from time to time will take non-divers out on their boats.

The best other one to try will be PK Dive (Martin & Jill)
