Hi Bostonn,

Been to boston and absolutely loved it there, anyway i hope this info will help a little, for your up and coming trip. No matter what you do or see you will have a great time in NZ.

As for things to do when it comes to New Zealand the list is endless, it is an extremely beautiful country, fabulous people and great atmosphere with many mad things thrown in for good measure.

I know you are hiring a car, but are you going to be returning to accommodation each night in Auckland and Christchurch, or is this just where you will be flying out from? Because if you are staying there each night it will mean you will be doing a lot of roundtrip driving on the same day to take in some interesting places and things to do in NZ, it might not be enjoyable.

Something i found very useful when planning our trip was the following website:

Piha Beach is a must while in Auckalnd. The drive there is extremly winding, but the Beach is gorgeous, and the view on top of Lion's head ( I think that was the name) is lovely.
