Cruising from Auckland May/June...

Hi all,

I am looking into a cruise departing Auckland round May/June and just wondering if there's much of a difference departing from either Brisbane or Auckland? Is one better than the other for a cruise to the pacific (Vanuatu, Fiji, New Cal etc..) ?

How rough would the seas be sailing out of Auckland that time of year? I know it will be cold in Auckland but does it warm up much sailing 2 days north?

Sorry for so many questions - any info is much appreciated!

Personally I wouldn't bother if you're not spending any time in NZ, you're just coming here to sail out of Auckland. It is the middle of winter so you could get big seas (but then again you can get that any time of the year)

It is much warmer up around the Islands, this is the best time to visit them- that's when Kiwis go to get away from our winter.
