Sim card

Hi, moving to Wellington NZ on working holiday visa soon.

My phone contract here in the UK is up so I was thinking I'll unlock the phone and buy a SIM in NZ.

What would be a good place to get one or a good one to get?

Is there somewhere I can look online?

I wont need too many mins/texts unless there's a way of calling the UK free? Data would be useful though.

Vodafone and Spark are the big two providers. Both sell SIMS and packages. But it may be cost-effective to buy one of their phones with SIM and data included. If you can wait until you arrive NZ, go into one of the retail shops to see what each can offer.

If you bring an unlocked phone with you, 2 Degrees is a good option for a cheap SIM with numerous places to buy top-ups.
