best area for trendy cafe and Bars.

Hi All,

heading to Perth in mid Feb, and looking for areas to stay.

I was hoping you could let me know what area of perth has some nice cafes etc. to hang at in the day then hopefully some cool bars or pubs to kick onto?

Thanks!

Do you mean Perth - the CBD ? or Perth - the entire city and its many suburbs ?

If you mean the CBD - the City of Perth website guides you around the many eating and drinking spots

Northbridge is the restaurant/nightclub hub. Nearby Mt Lawley is good too.

Brookfield Place is the new "in" spot in the city

The Merrywell at Crown Casino is very popular with my 20-something nieces & their friends

and I always recommend the small bar walking tour by Two Feet & a Heartbeat which you can find reviewed on this site. I see it's had a few negative reviews lately but I enjoyed it. Or you could design your own tour experienceperth.com/things-to-see-and-do/eat…

If its a stinkin' hot day (good chance) perhaps head down to Freo and catch the seabreeze while chilling at 'Little Creatures' brewery or one of the many other cafes/restaurants on fishing boat harbour and also along the cafe strip (South Terrace). Catch the train back to Perth/Northbridge and do a quick stop off at Subiaco on the way where there are also cafes and pub/bars to see if this locality also appeals to your interests.

If you're down at Fremantle have a look at Little Caesars Brewery on the fishing boat waterfront ... my kids love it there and they've just taken guests down there these last few weeks. They LOVE the fries ...!!!
