Lunch

We are wanting to have lunch with our family on a Monday in Melbourne Australia in early November, preferably in the South Eastern suburbs. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Preferences & budget will help, along with size of group & whether there will be children (ages also). What area are you looking at, bayside, Clayton, Dandenong?

We will be a party of 8 including two children aged 11 and 8. We would prefer something bayside if possible, between Brighton and the city. We prefer something in the $$ pricerange and also somewhere where fish is served as well as meat.

With kids, you might enjoy the Stokehouse (downstairs) at St Kilda. Right on the beach and a good atmosphere - and the kids can play on the beach.

The Middle Brighton Baths Cafe might be an option. Upstairs is a very lovely restaurnt but the cafe might be more kid friendly. middlebrightonbaths.com.au/Cafe_and_Bar.aspx

The Marine Hotel in Brighton is excellent and caters for small or large groups. Nice atmoshere and very good food.

I second downstairs at the Stokehouse. Can't go wrong. Great food, great views of Port Philip Bay. If it's a nice day you can sit outside. I take all my visitors to Melbourne here!

Enjoy wherever you choose to go.
