Help with itinerary

Hi! We are a family of four planning a trip to Tas next June. Our trip starts in Hobart before going on to Port Arthur, Huon valley and possibly Bruny island. There after we will rent a car going north up to Launceston and Cradle mountain. We were thinking of doing one or possibly two stops on the way up. So if you were only going to to do one stop between Hob and Laun what would it be? I´ve heard Freycinet and wineglass bay is well worth seeing. Any advice would be great!!!

Going from Hobart to Launceston via Freycinet National Park is a popular choice.

The closest town is Coles Bay, but it's very small. I think Bicheno - just north of it is a better choice for accommodation and food choices. They also have nightly penguin tours.

The alternative would be to head up the Midland (Heritage) Highway via the historic towns of Oatlands, Ross, Campbell Town and Longford. That route is easily doable in a single day.
