Tasmania Accommodation - with a wheelchair

We are looking to take a 5day trip to Tasmania later this year. Our dad is in a wheelchair so we need to sort out accomodation early.

Could anyone recommend any accommodation that is wheelchair friendly?

We have not fixed out route yet and will probably fix it around the accommodationo we choose, but would like to get up to Port Arthur or maybe stick to around Hobart.

accomm depends on budget, please advise so we can help.

same advise as other reply to you re the wheelchair also.

i did find seaport peppers resort in launceston nice and flat and helpful for being disabled.

make sure you phone your airline be it virgin or jetstar re the wheelchair situation. they are both very good with this, i find.just ask to attach special assistance to the booking and explain why.

good luck

There are several places to stay with wheelchair access in Tasmania.

You can also contact ACROD in Australia for a listing or find their website.

You could also log onto www.tasmaniantravelways.com.au they have accommodation listings that tells you all the facilities available at places. When you have chosen the places you canusually look up their own websites and eamil enquiries.

Good Luck
