ferry to daydream

we are going to be in the Airlie beach area in mid October and would like to make a visit out to daydream island as I was there many years ago.

we would prefer to go as independent travellers i.e. take the ferry and do our own thing when we get there perhaps for a whole day or just half a day.

any advice/trips would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

There's only one ferry company, Cruise Whitsundays, and you are welcome to do just that. You can buy a return ticket on the ferry and explore the island at your leisure.

Have a great time!

Hi River, we also did our own day trip from Hamilton Island to Daydream Island and it was lots of fun. The ferry ride there is half the fun too!

A few hints: from memory, to maximise your day, leave as early as you can to enjoy the island as the timetables are not that frequent. Also, they do have a great day spa there so you might wish to book yourself in for massage. ENJOY
