Are you going on a multi touring crewed charter or a skipper yourself bare boat?

I presume you are bareboat chartering? If so you can call into Long Island or Hamilton Island. Hayman is for Guests only and from memory Lindemann Island is a Club Med resort so day trippers are not really encouraged either.

I guess my question though would be.... Why would you want to pay for restaurant meals when you can stock up and cook up a feast in your own private piece of paradise ? We sometimes call into Hamilton Island to replenish stocks if we charter for more than a week but it's rarely more than a few hours drop in. Hamilton has many bars and restaurants on the island and around the marina but you do need to organise a berth or head in by dinghy.

You'll still be under the influence of Trade Winds in February so expect mainly smooth seas but be prepared for up to 20knots of breeze. Generally it should be calm seas and humid/rainy weather. (no one has a crystal ball, anything could happen !)

I also recommend that you familiarise yourself with the Tidal conditions of this part of the world... anchoring knowledge is vital.

TEMPS: February HIGH 31.7degrees LOW 23.4degrees

385.6 mm Rainfall (highest for the year so you should probably expect rain)

Your tour company should be able to provide you with all this information on their website.

If you look on your company's website, they should have restaurant/marina info, or someone to help you on staff.

If your company doesn't, the WRAY and CCY websites have lots of info for trip planning.

We just did a trip in Nov and stopped at Coles on the way and catered ourselves, but to each his own. All the resorts/marinas that take guests have mooring fees.

If bare boating then you cannot go past buying the book listed below its a must have if sailing in the Whitsundays with limited knowledge.

Its the wet season & stinger season in Feb so you will need to wear a stinger suit if swimming in the ocean.
