1. Re: great barrier reef

Hayman offers so many trips it's hard to decide where to start.

1. Full or half day outer reef on the "boat". We were lucky enough to get Sun Eagle for our last trip and had a wonderful day.

2. Seaplane.. this depends on budget...

3. Whitehaven beach is a must do.... either by boat or helicopter.... This is a full day trip.

4. My favourite cos you have a whole beach to yourself.. get a picnic hamper and get a speedboat dropoff at Steens Beach. You might need to book a few days before as they only drop one couple off each day....the beach has its own table and chairs and you are given an umbrella as well... however this is not a great snorkelling venue..but it is sandy... we actually took our kids..they had one end of the beach and we had the other!

5. Sunset cruise on Classic.... very romantic... 2 couples on our trip..no kids!

I would suggest prebooking your first nights dinner before you arrive...restaurant bookings for early seatings fill fast as do the smaller restaurants... Oriental and La Fontaine are the most difficult to get into..
