best site to rent a car /camper in Alice Springs?

we are 4 friends gong to the Red Center in less than a month.. what is the best site for renting a car or camper for us? or finding a bus fare from Alice to Ayers? it seems the anangu tours has shut itself down right now, too, so that is no longer an option right now. we do want to stay a fw in ALie Springs and also do Uluru area; is it better to fly n and out of Alice Springs? can you even fly out of Uluru directly or must we return to Alice?

It depends on your own itinerary where you can fly into & out off ??

Qantas flies direct from Sydney, Perth, Cairns and Alice Springs to Ayers Rock .

Flights from Darwin and Brisbane connect from Alice Springs through to Ayers Rock Airport.

www.qantas.com.au From Sydney it takes 2.5hrs.

Melbourne flights connect from Sydney or you can fly via Alice Springs.

Darwin flights connect from Alice Springs.

You can either self drive which is revelantly easy to Alice Springs from Ayers Rock (Uluru) or do a tour. There are plenty of tours available which also include visiting Kings Canyon which IMO would be pity to miss seeing you are within the region.

Car Rental Companies to use which offer a one way service to Ayers Rock are Thrifty and Hertz . Its best to rent the car for a minuim of three days to avoid a fee with Hertz. Thrifty waive the one way free if you hire the car for 6 days.

Go to the Alice Springs Tourist Visitor Information Centre to get the "Best Deal " which offer unlimited kilometre rates if you hire for three days minimum.

For additional info regarding Uluru read the list below.
