Help! Sydney anniversary trip on Easter weekend

My husband and I will be celebrating our anniversary in Sydney April 18-23. Our actual anniversary is on Sunday April 20. Many restaurants that I have contacted are closed the entire weekend. Any suggestions on a place for a nice anniversary dinner? Any input for the rest of the weekend is welcomed. Good Friday has been the toughest for us to plan as almost everything seems to be closed that day.

Thanks!

Where have you tried already? What type of food are you after? Budget?

It is a very busy weekend in Sydney so I'm surprised so many are closed, particularly for the whole weekend. Saturday night will probably be your best bet.

On Good Friday, go to the Easter Show, at Olympic Park.

Have you read the FAQs to help decide what to do for the rest of your weekend?

We have tried Quay (have a reservation on the 22), Medusa and Oscillate Wildly. No budget or type of food in mind per se - but we do really love Greek food and tasting menus. A great wine menu is also a plus. We were able to book a reservation at Aria but would be open to other options if available.

I have not read the FAQ's. I will check them out now. Thanks for the tip.

Where can I find the Easter weekend FAQ? I don't see it in the normal FAQ section. Thanks!

Why not just spend the day walking around somewhere nice...Public Transport still operates so you can go anywhere . Only places shut are typically museums. Hire a car go south to stanwell tops etc. LOTS of options!

The restuarants you have reservations for are some of the best, so I would keep one of them.

other 'top' Sydney restaurants include:

Tetsuya's- possibly the most famous foodies restaurant in Sydney. Has a great tasting menu. It's in the CBD.

Café Sydney- arguably the best located restaurant in Sydney. Stunning views of harbour, bridge etc. Some argue there is too much focus on the view and not enough on the food, but I'd say a lot of international guests are fine with that.

est. I haven't been there but the food is meant to be fantastic. It's in the CBD

Sepia- another CBD restaurant known for degustation and wine flights.

Marque- in Surry Hills, also has a great tasting menu.

Rockpool on Bridge- one of the old legends of Sydney dining. Focuses on seafood. It was in the Rocks for years and I haven't been there since it moved to Bridge St so don't know if it's changed

no idea what their opening hours are around Easter.

all these options are very expensive.

Good Friday -hardly anything is open except some convenience stores and some restaurants. Im sure in most tourist areas you will find a cafe or two .Sorry did not word that more comprehensively- Supermarkets are all shut. Retail will not open- like clothing etc
